“Mad Cows from Planet Moo” Synopsis
A quiet town nestled in the centre of 1960’s Americana is about to have a Halloween it will never forget. Youngsters Ricky and Suzie have a date night planned at the local drive-in, while big-bro Gordie is looking forward to a more intimate night in with his main squeeze Janet. Unbeknownst to them the night is about to take an other-wordly turn.
Can our unlikely heroes Gordie, Ricky, and Suzie overcome this cow-tastrophe and save the world before it’s pasture bedtime? The steaks are high indeed.

Why “Mad Cows from Planet Moo” Matters
A Hilarious Throwback
This film is important because it’s not just another sci-fi comedy. It’s an affectionate parody of the 1950s and 60s B-movie genre, paying homage to the golden age of cinema while adding its own out-of-this-world twist. In doing so, it keeps the spirit of classic cinema alive and introduces it to a new generation.
Breaking New Ground
“Mad Cows from Planet Moo” breaks away from traditional sci-fi norms, offering a refreshing take on the genre that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s a comedy that blends absurdity and social commentary. Even in the midst of chaos, there’s room for humour and reflection.
Community and Creativity
The film is not just a production; it’s a collaborative effort of talented individuals like writer and director Bobby Calloway, producer Brian Matthews Murphy, and our heroine Dana Lee Al Qattan. It showcases the creativity and camaraderie within the filmmaking community, proving that great things happen when artists come together to bring their visions to life.
Laughter as a Universal Language
In a world that often feels divided and challenging, “Mad Cows from Planet Moo” reminds us of the power of laughter. It unites audiences with its humour and absurdity, making people from all walks of life come together for a shared, joyful experience.
