“Perdu” is a gritty crime drama written by Paul Flynn. As the dedicated Unit Stills Photographer, I had the privilege of capturing the intense and gripping moments of this compelling Irish feature film.

“Perdu” Film Synopsis

“Perdu” takes you on a gripping journey into the heart of a community plagued by a series of mysterious deaths. Officer Reilly and his clumsy young protégé are faced with a chilling case of a serial killer on the loose. As gruesome as the string of murders are, Reilly carries himself like a seasoned detective who has seen it all, but nothing could prepare him for what they would find left inside the latest victims’ remains. This intense narrative explores the depths of suspense, mystery, tragedy, and the ultimate pursuit of justice.

Why “Perdu” Matters

“Perdu” not only showcases the talents of its cast and crew but also highlights the talents within the community of independent film-makers in Ireland.  Originally produced as a short film that served as a proof of concept.  Writer Paul Flynn had the larger story already in mind if not on paper.  After it’s initial release as a short, funding was granted to produce two more episodes (seeing the initial short as the first part of an episodic).  Production got the crew all back on board and filming resumed.  Flynn saw the story needing ten mini episodes to be properly told, or, as eventually it was actualised; a feature film runtime.
