Double Finalist at the 18th Waterford International Film Festival

I was delighted to learn that two of my images have been selected as finalists at the 18th Waterford International Film Festival.

The first nomination is in the Best Cinematic Image category for a production still from the short film Tacit featuring Janet Little and Rowan Kummer. The second is for Best Poster, recognising the poster artwork I created for the short film Yearbook. It’s an honour to have work from two different productions recognised by the festival this year.

The poster is a composed of two stills I captured as key art on the set of “Yearbook” on day two of filming. Early on set that day I had time to brainstorm poster ideas with Writer/Director Thomas Burke and he pitched this concept which immediately resonated with me. Marie O’Donovan and James Hayes generously obliged, posing for the shots before their first scene of the day.

Still riding the high of winning Best Cinematic Image at last year’s festival, I’m delighted to be back again as a finalist this year, this time in both their photography category and their inaugural poster category.

As part of that award, I’ll also have a selection of my unit stills photography exhibited at this year’s festival, which I’m very much looking forward to seeing on display.

I’m excited to be attending the festival with my family this year and to be included alongside such a talented group of filmmakers and photographers.
